Pre-startup Preparation
Environment and Foundation Check: Ensure the workspace is clean and dry; clear the work surface of unrelated items like water cups or tools; remove accumulated metal chips from guideways; and verify that the lubricating oil level is normal.
Safety Component Verification: Test the responsiveness of the emergency stop button; confirm the safety door interlock functions reliably; and check that axis limit switches are operating correctly.
Tool and Workpiece Preparation: Select appropriate tools based on the material; inspect tool holders for cracks and ensure secure mounting; and clamp the workpiece firmly to prevent it from coming loose or being ejected.
Program Pre-verification: Simulate the machining path using "dry run" mode; run the program with the machine locked to check for errors; and confirm there is no risk of tool path interference.
Machining Operation Techniques
Precise Parameter Control: Adjust cutting parameters according to material properties (e.g., set spindle speed for cast iron 30% lower than for aluminum alloy); maintain coolant concentration between 5% and 10% with flow covering the entire cutting zone.
Operational Monitoring: Remain at the station throughout the process; pause immediately to inspect if spindle load spikes by 10%; perform spot checks on critical dimensions every 10–15 parts; and adjust tool offsets promptly to correct deviations.
Safety Guidelines: Never adjust rotating tools or workpieces by hand; close the safety guard before starting machining; and ensure coordinated movements when working in a two-person team.
Emergency Handling: In the event of abnormal noises or program errors, hit the emergency stop immediately; inspect components such as bearings and lead screws; and return all axes to the mechanical home position after resolving the fault.
